Early-development biotech Phase I Efficacy data review R/Shiny

A two-week fix became a 12-month partnership.

The challenge

A CMO was reviewing Phase I efficacy data in static slides, weeks before a board update. The manual approach was time-intensive and error-prone, and it couldn’t keep up as data volumes grew. The CMO wanted an interactive way to review early-look efficacy data.

What we did

We didn’t wait for a perfect brief. Instead of making the CMO wait months for the ideal tool, we delivered immediate relief and built the full solution in parallel: a programmatic static deck first, then a custom interactive R/Shiny tool.

The result

The static deck gave the CMO immediate relief before the board update. The interactive tool followed, and TrapezoidX became the client’s extended programming team, with 3 R/Shiny apps now in production.

Biotech Investor meeting Full-study SOW

When the investor meeting can’t wait, neither do we.

The challenge

A CEO needed a new analysis for an investor meeting, on short notice and outside the planned scope.

Why we could move

When we scoped the full-study SOW, we built in a pre-approved reserve for unplanned work. So when urgency struck, there was no change order to negotiate and no approval to wait for.

The result

We delivered the complete analysis in about one business day, in time for the meeting.

~1 day
from request to complete analysis
0 change orders
0 delays

The lesson: speed in a crisis is decided when the contract is written, not when the request arrives. It’s why we build that flexibility into the SOW from the start.

Snapshot · AI-assisted QC

A full Phase I QC pass in under a day.

On a 92-table Phase I package, agentic AI ran the QC pass and a senior programmer reviewed and signed off every finding. The same pass takes 3–5 days manually.

AI accelerates our team’s judgment. It never replaces it.

Your program could be the next story.

Start with a scoping call. If the first deliverable isn’t submission-ready and on the timeline agreed in the SOW, you don’t pay for it.
